Senior Account Executive
Helen leverages her 8-plus years of experience in public relations, voter advocacy and political campaigns to execute successful solutions for a wide variety of Melamed Communications clients. In addition to her broad expertise, Helen specializes in management of public relations efforts, media logistics and research. Her professional experience includes work for the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy, CommuniCare Health Services, Cuyahoga County Board of Elections, Cuyahoga County Treasurer Jim Rokakis and as campaign manager for Ohio House Speaker Armond Budish’s successful 2006 campaign.
Helen is highly active in her community and serves on the boards of several not-for-profit organizations. As former president of The League of Women Voters - Shaker Heights, she has an extensive background developing, publishing and distributing non-partisan Voters Guides throughout the community. In 2004, she was chair of The League of Women Voters Guide for Cuyahoga County, a publication distributed to over 300,000 voters.
Helen’s down-to-earth no-nonsense professional approach has earned her the respect of high-profile elected officials and business leaders. She was recently recognized by the YWCA of Greater Cleveland as a Woman of Professional Excellence.
